Beyond Coaching
Beyond Coaching is an emerging learning experience for coaches, facilitators and practitioners who sense that their work is ready to evolve.
Everything is connected.
Before we talk about coaching, let's look at the world we are coaching in.
The world is changing faster than our ability to make sense of it. Technology, ecological disruption, shifting social structures and growing uncertainty are reshaping how we live, work and relate to one another.
The evidence is compelling. Gallup reports that only 21% of employees worldwide are engaged at work, while the UN estimates that 12 billion working days are lost annually to depression and anxiety. Meanwhile, the coaching profession continues to expand, reflecting a growing search for guidance, resilience and meaningful change.
Yet a widening gap is emerging between the speed and complexity of change around us and our capacity, individually and collectively, to understand, navigate and respond to it.
We increasingly experience systemic challenges as personal struggles. Exhaustion, disconnection, uncertainty and resistance to change are often addressed individually, while the deeper relationships, assumptions and structures shaping these experiences remain untouched.
What if coaching needs to evolve as profoundly as the world it seeks to support?
“Are we helping people become more resilient within systems that need to change or helping them participate in changing those systems?”
Remembering the Bigger Picture. Indigenous Perspectives for Transformation.
Rooted in Indigenous wisdom and informed by Mikhaël Akasha’s years of learning alongside Māori, Aboriginal Australian and Native American spiritual teachers, this eye-opening exploration invites us to rediscover our place within an interconnected, living world.
Bridging Indigenous perspectives with contemporary science, systems thinking and emerging technologies, it explores the deeper relationships between ecology, human behaviour, organisational systems and the global shifts reshaping our future.
It challenges us to look beyond fragmented thinking, recognise the visible and invisible connections shaping our reality, and rediscover what it means to live, lead and create in relationship with the world around us.
Because meaningful transformation doesn't begin with solutions. It begins with seeing differently.
From helping people navigate the world as it is, to helping them shape the world that could be.
One bigger picture · Three different directions
Where do you want your practice to go?
Three pathways · Three different ambitions
These three pathways are propositions, not finished programmes. Before bringing them to life, I want to hear from experienced practitioners about what genuinely matters.
Which direction speaks to you? What would make it worth your time and investment? And what would you need to experience, learn or achieve for it to make a meaningful difference?
Help shape what comes next.
I am inviting experienced coaches and practitioners to challenge these propositions before anything is launched.
Choose the pathway that matters most, react to its price and share the outcome you would need to see.

Mikhaël Akasha is a strategist, innovation educator, and founder of Human by Design™, working at the intersection of human development, leadership, systems thinking, and meaningful transformation.
His career spans international creative leadership, innovation, and organisational transformation, working with multinational corporations, universities, healthcare institutions, and public organisations. He lectures on innovation, leadership, and sustainability at Maastricht University, including its internationally recognised MBA programmes, and contributes to programmes at other universities.
Alongside his professional journey, Mikhaël has spent decades studying ancient wisdom traditions, energetic medicine and practices, learning directly from Indigenous and spiritual teachers, including a Wisdom Keeper descended from the White Buffalo People.
Bringing together contemporary science, organisational practice, and ancient wisdom, his work invites coaches and leaders to look beyond conventional frameworks, deepen their understanding of themselves and the living systems they belong to, and expand their capacity to guide meaningful change.
At the heart of his work lies a simple belief: lasting transformation begins with a different way of seeing, being, and relating to the world.
