HUMAN BY DESIGN™ · ONE-DAY IMMERSION

THE WORLD IS CHANGING. ARE WE?

One day · New perspectives · Lasting transformation

BEYOND RESILIENCE.

RESILIENCE IS NOT WHAT WE THINK.

We have been taught that resilience means standing strong, recovering quickly and returning to the norm. But what if the norm is part of the problem?

A forest does not survive by keeping everything unchanged. It evolves through diversity, interdependence and renewal. What appears to be an ending can become the beginning of something entirely new.

Perhaps human resilience works the same way.

What if resilience is not about becoming harder, but becoming more connected?

To ourselves. To one another. To the living world. And to the future we are helping create.

FOR THOSE WHO SENSE SOMETHING IS SHIFTING.

For leaders navigating uncertainty. For coaches and facilitators supporting change. For change-makers questioning established systems. And for anyone, regardless of age, background or experience, who senses that the world is asking us to fundamentally rethink how we live, work and relate.

You do not need to have the answers.

Only the courage to question what you thought you knew.

One-day programme

  • 01 — The World Is Shifting

10:00–10:45 What happens when the familiar no longer holds?

Opening provocation on disruption, uncertainty and the limits of conventional resilience. Participants explore what is changing around them and what they are being asked to reconsider.

Experience: The Shifting World Map — personal, collective and planetary changes

  • 02 — What Does Nature Know About Resilience?

10:45–12:00 Why do living systems survive through relationships?

Explore interdependence, diversity, adaptation and regeneration. Connect ecological principles with Indigenous relational perspectives and Pogačnik's artistic view of Earth as a living whole.

Experience: Living Systems Walk — noticing resilience, vulnerability and interconnection

  • 03 — The Resilience Within

13:00–14:15 What remains steady when everything changes?

Explore attention, emotional flexibility, values, embodied awareness and the difference between genuine stability and rigid control.

Experience: Grounding and embodied awareness followed by individual reflection

  • 04 — From Individual Survival to Collective Strength

14:15–15:15 What if resilience is something we create together?

Examine belonging, reciprocity, mutual support and the importance of community. Explore how collective relationships can support transformation.

Experience: The Web of Resilience — mapping support, dependencies and opportunities for reciprocity

  • 05 — Designing for a World in Transition

15:30–16:30 What needs to end, what needs protecting, and what wants to emerge?

Use a guided future-oriented design exercise to translate the day's insights into practical choices, relationships and experiments.

Experience: The Renewal Canvas — one personal commitment and one collective action

  • 06 — A Different Way Forward

16:30–17:00 How do we carry this into everyday life?

Closing dialogue, shared commitments and reflection on the capacity to meet change without losing connection.

    Experience: Collective closing circle
