The bigger picture.
Everything is connected.

Before we talk about coaching, let's look at the world we are coaching in.

We are living through profound shifts in technology, ecology, work, identity and the ways we organise our lives. Yet many of the challenges that enter a coaching conversation are still treated as though they belong to one person alone.

Someone feels exhausted. A team struggles to collaborate. A leader cannot make progress. We might work on confidence, communication or resilience. And sometimes that is exactly what is needed. But what if the difficulty also lives in the relationships, incentives, assumptions and structures surrounding that person?

“Are we helping people become more resilient within systems that need to change or helping them participate in changing those systems?”

A wider field of possibility.

Coaches often see what others miss: the unspoken assumptions, the tension between aspiration and reality, the human story beneath performance. Yet many of the challenges clients bring into coaching cannot be resolved through individual insight alone.

They live in teams, decision-making structures, organisational cultures, service experiences and business models. Beyond Coaching explores three different ways to work with this complexity.

“From helping people navigate the world as it is, to helping them shape the world that could be.”

One bigger picture · Three different directions

Where do you want your practice to go?

Three pathways · Three different ambitions

These are early concepts, not finished programmes. Explore what resonates, challenge what doesn't, and help to shape an experience that genuinely serves practitioners.

Data That Tells a Story

Explore interactive visualizations that uncover insights, reveal trends, and help guide smart decisions. Our charts and graphs turn numbers into narratives—helping you understand and explore key information at a glance.

The Invitation

The world is changing. Is coaching changing with it?

Beyond Coaching includes a Big Picture Briefing: a unique context-setting session that opens the field before the work begins. It bridges insights from science, ecology, and Indigenous wisdom. Together, these provide a broader lens for understanding interconnected systems, recognising patterns, and designing innovations that are both meaningful and regenerative.

This perspective is informed not only by contemporary research, but also by Mikhaël Akasha's years of learning alongside Shamanic teachers with lineages in New Zealand's Māori, Aboriginal Australian, and Native American traditions, including private teachings from a Wisdom Keeper from the notorious White Buffalo People. Rather than presenting these traditions as methodology, they serve as an additional lens that deepen observation, relationship, and our understanding of how lasting change emerges within living systems.

It connects global shifts, sustainability challenges, human behaviour, emerging technologies, organisational change, and future-facing perspectives into one living map. This gives participants a wider lens through which to see what is really at stake.

Pathway 01 · From individual insight to collective change

Coach to Change Partner.

Learn to work with the relationships, behaviours and organisational conditions that shape how teams and leaders actually change.

Who this is for

Experienced leadership, executive and team coaches who are increasingly asked to help with culture, collaboration, alignment and change, but want a stronger framework for working beyond the individual.

The shift

From “How can I help this leader perform differently?” to “What patterns, incentives, relationships and decisions must change across this team or organisation?”

What you will learn to do

  • Diagnose a challenge at individual, team and organisational levels without overclaiming expertise.

  • Map stakeholders, power dynamics, informal norms and systemic tensions.

  • Design and facilitate a team alignment or change conversation.

  • Co-create small behavioural and structural experiments with sponsors.

  • Define contracting, confidentiality, referral boundaries and measures of progress.

8 weeks · 6 live group sessions · 2 practice clinics · approximately 24 facilitated hours · 8–12 participants

We don't want to build another programme coaches don't need.

These are developed concepts, but still hypotheses. I want to understand which professional transition matters enough to invest your time, energy and money in.

Help shape what comes next.

Which concept would most meaningfully advance your practice? What would make it worth your time and investment?

This takes around three minutes. Your responses will help us decide what, if anything, to develop and test.

  • The programme was very well structured and extremely intensive. The pace started from the first minutes and stayed high until the end, creating a very dynamic learning environment. What I appreciated most was the atmosphere of openness and trust he creates. This experience truly changed the way I think about complex problems and collaboration.

  • It was a recalibration of how I lead, think, and create impact—especially in environments where the only constant is change. I wholeheartedly recommend Mikhael not only as an exceptional catalyst for change. His ability to challenge assumptions, inspire new ways of thinking, and translate ideas into meaningful action is rare.

Every framework, tool, and exercise shared throughout the Innovation Lab has been refined through years of real organisational work, tested with leaders, multidisciplinary teams, and students across industries, and grounded in the belief that meaningful innovation begins not with better ideas, but with a broader way of seeing.
